During the past week, recalls of light passenger vehicles from as far back as the 2004 model year were issued by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US (FCA US), Ford Motor Company (Ford), and Mercedes-Benz USA (Mercedes). The largest recall affects the fire extinguishers on 62,042 Dodge, Chrysler, and Ram vehicles, from most model years between 2004 and 2018.

According to the study, luxury cars have higher than average collision claim costs, while pickups and SUVs have lower than average costs.
